Kasol, a small village is situated in the banks of the river Parvati. It comes under the district of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. Kasol is said to be the Amsterdam of India for its picturesque valleys and lofty peaks. It might look a little insignificant, but the fact is the place is yet untouched by the effect of Urbanization and commercial vibes. The harmony between man and nature still exist over here. How to Reach Kasol

The nearest airport is Bhuntar which is approximately 32 kilometres away. The local cabs are easily available from the airport to reach Kasol. The place also connects main cities like Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) provides ample amount of buses from such areas via Shimla, Solan, Dharamsala and Kangra. The nearest railway station of Kasol is Pathantok located at a distance of 150 kilometres.

The best time of the year to plan a trip to Kasol is between March and June. Just take a look at weather conditions during different times of the year.

Kasol in Monsoon (July-September)

Kasol receives a good amount of rainfall during this time. This cannot be considered as the best time to visit this village as such downpours result in landslides.

Kasol in Winter (October-February)

Kasol faces ample amount of snowfall and extremely cold weather during this time of the year. The roads get blocked due to the freezing cold climate.

Kasol in Summer (March-June)

It is one of the best times to have a short trip to Kasol as the temperatures are around 15 degrees Celsius. It is the peak season of the year when most of the tourists visit Kasol.
